AFAIK, there is no "supersuer" responsibility for iSetup. iSetup has one responsibility (named "Oracle iSetup" in 11i and simply "iSetup" in R12) that provides all necessary access. Pl see documentation at http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html

You need to grant the user "iSetup Super User role" in addition to Oracle iSetup responsibility. Refer to [Oracle® iSetup|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B34956_01/current/acrobat/120azug.pdf] manual for more details.

Can you point me which page has got reference to how to setup iSetup super user role. How do we grant such roles to apps users ?

Chapter 5 page 8 has the reference. You can use Functional Administrator responsibility to assign this role.

thanks everyone for the reply. But i am still not achieved what i wanted to do.
While creating grants under Functional Administrator responsibility,
Its asking all these details -
                    Object
                    Data Context Type
                    Access Policy

Am not sure which one to choose. I see lots of iSetup related pages listed over there. Do i have to add all those pages ?

This is Mugunthan from iSetup development.

I have a question for you.

What is your EBS patch level?

Here is the step by step instructions to achieve the same.

Assign “iSetup Super User” Resposibility to User SYSADMIN
                        Navigate: UserManagement > User
                        1. Enter SYSADMIN in name column.
                        2. click on “Go”
                        3. it will display one record.
                        4. Click on Update.
                        5. it will navigate to Update screen.
                        6. Click on Assign Roles button.
                        7. It will display LOV screen.
                        8. search for iSetup Super User in the LOV.
                        9. Click on “Apply”.

Create a function under Functional Adm >Core services>Functions>CreateFunction
Code: FNDLOAD: patch/115/import/afscursp.lct (This is just a sample, provide lct file that you would like to register)
                        Type: Interface method

                        Create a menu Functional Adm >Core services>Menus>CreateNavigationMenu
Give a name and a code (any)
                        Choose “Interface” as the type
Menu Builder>Add another row. Provide a prompt and Function (same as
                        created earlier)
                        Remove the “Grant” Checkbox
                        Apply the changes

Now we need to assign this menu to iSetup Super User Role for which:
                        Navigate to Home> User management>Roles & Inheritance
Search for iSetup Super User Role
                        Update to Create a Grant
While creating a grant, provide menu name under the “Set” and the
                        Responsibility as “iSetup”
Apply and Save changes for the Role

Clear all Cache to apply changes, Functional Adm >Core services>Caching
                        Framework>Global Configuration.
                        Clear All Cache.

I found this in one of the document related to iSetup.

Registering sample “Resposibility” FNDLOAD API through iSetup Interface Repository
Assign “iSetup Super User” Resposibility to User SYSADMIN
                          Navigate: UserManagement > User
                          1. Enter SYSADMIN in name column.
                          2. click on “Go”
                          3. it will display one record.
                          4. Click on Update.
                          5. it will navigate to Update screen.
                          6. Click on Assign Roles button.
                          7. It will display LOV screen.
                          8. search for iSetup Super User in the LOV.
                          9. Click on “Apply”.

                          • Create a function under Functional Adm >Core services>Functions>CreateFunction
                          o Code: FNDLOAD: patch/115/import/afscursp.lct
                          o Type: Interface method
                          • Create a menu Functional Adm >Core services>Menus>CreateNavigationMenu
o Give a name and a code (any)
o Choose “Interface” as the type
o Menu Builder>Add another row. Provide a prompt and Function (same as
                          created earlier)
                          o Remove the “Grant” Checkbox
                          o Apply the changes
                          • Now we need to assign this menu to iSetup for which:
                          o Navigate to Home> User management>Roles & Inheritance
o Search for iSetup Super User Role
o Update to Create a Grant
o While creating a grant, provide menu name under the “Set” and the
                          Responsibility as “iSetup”
o Apply and Save changes for the Role
                          • Clear all Cache to apply changes, Functional Adm >Core services>Caching

                          o Clear All Cache.
                          • Navigate to iSetup Administration > Interface Repository>Create
o Give the same path as was used to create the Function Code

Step-by-Step Instructions to register “AOL Responsibility Interface”

                            Hi Mugunthan,

I'm using R12 with Patch Level "R12.AZ.A.4" for AZ.
I couldn't find the "iSetup Super User" responsibility.
Can you please guide me how to assign the "iSetup Super User" role?

                            Thanks,
                            Greg

It is the same process as explained above. iSetup Super User is a Role and not a Responsibility. Pls. follow the instructions provided above

                                Hi Roopesh,

The user I was initially using wouldn't return any record when I query for a User in the User Management.
When I switched to SYSADMIN, it's now going fine.

                                Thanks!

                                  Hi Roopesh,

I'm trying to find the "General Ledger Accounting Calendars" Selection Set and the "General Ledger Currencies" Selection Set but I could find it in the Standard Templates list. Is there any setting to make it available in the list?

                                  Thanks,

                                    Hi Viabhav,

                                    Are you using R12?
Didn't you encounter any error when creating the Interface Repository?

I tried to follow the steps by I encountered the error when trying to create a new Interface Repository.
The error is "You do not have the Grant to register this Interface. Please contact your System Administrator.".
This occurs when I click the apply button.

                                    Can anybody advise?
