Kia Ora Gareth,
Thank you for your helpful inputs. I'm particularly interested in your last comment as it could be a potential solution.
My requirement is to exclude code combinations that are flagged as preserved from appearing in the Output View therefore your suggestion about parsing the output file may work. Can I please ask you to expand on how you would parse the output and then reduce (or expand) the information returned. Are you thinking along the lines of passing the standard Oracle file output into, say XML Publisher, and then manipulating the data to produce a new output?
Thanks in advance,
What is the purpose of the report? Is just a listing of account code combinations and cross validation errors?
If so, it would be easyish to recreate. Check out standard API "fnd_flex_ext.get_combination_id" which accepts an account code combination and spits out any cross validation errors (use fnd_flex_ext.get_message).
Give us a shout if you need anymore info mate.
Yes, I'd just create a new program and request set. New program reads the output file of the standard program and does what it needs to do, outputting per requirements.
Probably just PL/SQL ... but if you really wanted to PL/SQL could output XML and throw that into XML Publisher rtf template.
