WL Bug with Netscape 6 and file uploading

    3004
We have a Servlet based application which allows someone to upload a
file to our server. We get errors when the file is over 2K (1K works)
in size when using Netscape 6. This works fine with Netscape 4.x and IE.

                The error is:

                Fri Jan 19 15:36:23 CST 2001:<E> <NT Performance Pack> failure in
                processSockets() loop: GetData: fd=1264 numBytes=4096
                weblogic.socket.MaxMessageSizeExceededException: [Incoming HTTP request
headers of size 4576 bytes exceeds the configured maximum of 4096 bytes]
                at
                weblogic.socket.MuxableSocketHTTP.incrementBufferOffset(MuxableSocketHTTP.java:111)
                at weblogic.socket.NTSocketMuxer.processSockets(NTSocketMuxer.java:415)
                at
                weblogic.socket.SocketReaderRequest.execute(SocketReaderRequest.java:23)
                at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:129)

                Fri Jan 19 15:36:23 CST 2001:<E> <HTTP> Connection failure
                weblogic.socket.MaxMessageSizeExceededException: [Incoming HTTP request
headers of size 4576 bytes exceeds the configured maximum of 4096 bytes]

                weblogic.socket.SocketReaderRequest.execute(SocketReaderRequest.java:23)
                at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:129)

This works OK on WL 5.1 sp5 but fails with sp7 or 8.

Any ideas on what's wrong? and how can I fix this?

                Thanks

It sounds like the header doesn't exist or isn't followed by two \r\n
sequences. You'll have to use a lower level tool to see what's going on.

How is the file being uploaded?

BTW I didn't know that any features worked correctly with Netscape 6 ;-)

                    Peace,
