Did you get solution to this?
I too am facing the same problem.
Not yet, sorry... still trying to find a work-around given our development environment, but it'd be ideal if BEA or someone else could address this issue...
Update: I tried installing WebLogic 8.1 and setting things up using the mod_wl_20.so file that came with that install. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same problem. I've also tried moving the Apache install from "D:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2" to just "D:\Apache", but that didn't solve it either.
I'm really not sure why this isn't working... any help would be appreciated...
Lochan, and others who may have run into this problem... I finally got it sorted out. Apparantly Apache 2.2 isn't compatable with the ".so" libraries that were compiled for Apache 2.0... and the "mod_wl_20.so" file that WebLogic comes with is, well, for Apache 2.0.
So... once I installed Apache 2.0 and configured it as per the documentation, it ran correctly. I guess if you need Apache 2.2 for other sites, you could run 2.0 concurrently listening on another port.
Anyway - hope that helps.
I too got solution to my problem.
I was having a LoadModule problem in Apache 2.0.XX with weblogic 8.1.4
The problem was of architecture mismatch.
The linux/apache loaded was on 64 bit AMD x86_64 architecture, and the weblogic module (mod_wl_20.so) is a 32 bit Intel architecture file. This apache was not able to pick the file.
Thanks for your help.
Look at the following post on Apache mailing list
Looks like the module that came with WLS 8.1 is not compatible with Apache 2.2.
Your best bet at this point would be to use Apache 2.0.X
Checkout the BEA certifications for various Webserver/plugin supported configurations at
Both WLS 8.1& 9.2 are not in the list of certified products to work with Apache 2.2.*.
I was also facing the same problem. Thanks for the solution.
I have installed Apache 2.0.59 (the documentation mentions support for 2.0.x [url http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/plugins/apache.html]) but am still experiencing problems loading this module.
The error message displayed is as follows:
Syntax error on line 73 of C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/modules/mod_wl_20.so into server: The specified module could not be found.
I am using the 32-bit version of the module.
I neglected to replace the modules after installing 2.0.59.
Sorry bout that.
BOTTOM LINE IS FOLLOW THE DOCUMENTATION.........
(documentation is given for 2.0 and mow_wl_20 mean 2.0)...
With the latest WLS10.0, the plugin for Apache2.2 has been provided. You can use Apache2.2 as the web server now.
