Please see Metalink document Note: ID 291999.1
Are your AS on UNIX or windows. On UNIX, you will have to do some tweaking and need to consider whether you are doing a PRINTER or PREVIEW destination.
Its directly getting printed and I am using Oracle Enterprise Linux.
I have set export LC_ALL=en_GB.UTF-8; at the top of reports.sh file in $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory.
I checked the metalink note and tried different options but of no use.
Are the Euro-signs part of the data or part of some static text (prompts or so).
We had the same problem with prompts which should up fine on the developers pc running under windows XP and should some special-chars on the linux-OAS.
The solution was to set the appropiate entry in the NLS_LANG-setting in the registry on the Developers pc, type in the Euro-sign again into the report-definition with that setting and then redeploy the report.
They are part of the data format since we are creating reports with the currency .
The reports are created using NLS_LANG=ENGLISH_UNITED KINGDOM.WE8MSWIN1252
