Oracle Desktop IRM error 112

671558Nov 20 2008 — edited Sep 4 2009
We are users of SealedMedia Unsealer. We recently upgraded to Acrobat 9 Pro and realized the unsealer no longer works so I researched and discovered that Oracle purchased the product and upgraded it to work with Acrobat 9 Pro. I uninstalled the unsealer product and rebooted. I downloaded Oracle Desktop IRM from Oracle and installed it. We are running XP pro SP3 with Office 2007. When I open any Office product such as Word, I receive an error that reads, "Oracle IRM Desktop: Internal error 112. Please contact technical support with the above information if the problem persists." There is only an OK button. When the window closes you see a tab on the Word ribbon that is Oracle IRM but when clicking on it you get no buttons. If you close Word, Excel, etc. and reopen, the error does not come back and now the Oracle IRM tab on the ribbon has the control buttons in it. I don't know if they work because we don't currently have any secured files to test it on.

Does anyone know why I am getting this error 112 and tell me how to get rid of it?!!!
