    Spurious attachments with multipart messages

Some mailers send two versions of a message-- plain text, and HTML. In one example, the overall content-type of the message is "multipart/alternative", though I have seen other "multipart/foo" MIME types used. Each section also has its own MIME type - one is text/plain and one is text/html. The user's mail application can choose which one it wants to display. Most email clients handle this pretty well, and most modern clients will display the HTML section.

Oracle Connector for Outlook treats one of the sections as an attachment, and names it "att0001.txt". This behavior is not ideal. Is there a configuration option, or some nice way to stop the connector from doing this?

I'm using Oracle Connector with Outlook 2007.
