conditional formatting in a pivot table is a bit tricky, especially when you want to base your formatting on the value of an other column. Is that what you want? Because this is not possible out-of-the-box, but there is a workaround, which may work for you: http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2008/04/29/oracle-bi-ee-101332-conditional-formatting-based-on-multiple-character-columns-in-a-pivot-table/
This doesn't works for me because in your link they work within new calculated item...I only want to apply a condition in a new calculated item that I have created in my pivot table.
Hi! Anybody knows about this problem?
Also I have another question about this calculcated item in pivot table. In formula tab is possible to add a symbol?
For example if my calculate item is $1-$2 is possible to show result with %??? Not modify in criteria because will modify all row in pivot table, and in my case only want the new calculated item.
Hello! I'm very interesting in this problem, and I think that it has to exists some solution. I only want doing conditional format in calculated item in my pivot table. Is possible to do any formula in box of calculated item?
Hello! I'm trying to solucionate this problem but I don't have any solution, Is possible to create the calculated item that I want with a column in criteria tab?? In this case I could doing conditional format only at this column.
If exists any solution to answer my problem will be very appreciated.
Late in, but I just realized something: what you basically want is a YAGO measure. So why not just build one and apply the formatting there?
Hi Christian, I can't do this because in my report I have columns (Dimension Year) with presentation variables, depends of dashboard prompt it shows actual year and year -1 and it has a difference between this years (Calculated Item). I would like to edit this calculated item with conditional format (only this column). If I modify my measures with conditional format I see this results in all row of my measure but I only want in calculated item column.
I don't know if exists any solution about it.
Hello! I'm researching in this problem but I don't get any solution.
I'll explain a kind of pivot table that I have.
In criteria has one column of Time.Year, another column of Departments and another column "measure".
Measure column has a conditional format that if it is greater than 0 colour green and if not..colour red.
In my pivot table have on rows : Department, on columns Time Year and box of measure, my measure. In dimension year I create a new calculated item called Difference and it is the difference between $1 - $2 (First Column (Year 2008) and Second Column (year 2007)). My problem of this table is that ONLY want to apply conditional format in NEW CALCULATED ITEM but if I apply conditional format in criteria tab (measure column) is for all row, I mean Year 2008, Year 2007 and new calculated item.
Do you know any answer with this problem???
Thanks in advance!!!
Have a look here :
What you have to do is to create a pivot in a table view and then you can apply a cross conditional format.
I am having the same issue Is there any solution that you find for your issue for the requirement the calculated column should have a '%' symbol showing after the actual data.
Any one with any solution or any work around please reply.
Thank you for your time.
