    Oracle & Service

    alekoc
I have Oracle 10g on my Win XP. Just couple days ago I found strange situation. When I start/reboot my PC with disabled Local Area Connection (I keep it disabled sometimes to prevent Internet access), my Oracle starts automatically as a Service. When I enable Local Area Connection and start/reboot my PC, Oracle does not start as a Service. What is the reason of that? How I can set up my PC environment to start Oracle always like a Service?

          Hi,

When you say "Oracle" do you mean the "Oracle MTS Recovery Service" , which is what this forum deals with? (ie, used for resolving in doubt distributed transactions from the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator"? Or are you referring to the database? Assuming you're referring to the database, the database forum may be a more appropriate place for your question.
