      Hi all!!

      I'm having problems last days with one backup. Appears the next error:

      RMAN-06207: WARNING: 1 objects could not be deleted for SBT_TAPE channel(s) due
      RMAN-06208: to mismatched status. Use CROSSCHECK command to fix status
      List of Mismatched objects
      ==========================
      Object Type Filename/Handle
      --------------- ---------------------------------------------------
      Backup Piece brman_arch_551

      My accion was the next commands from RMAN:

      connect target;
      ALLOCATE CHANNEL FOR MAINTENANCE DEVICE TYPE DISK;
      DELETE FORCE NOPROMPT BACKUPSET TAG 'brman_arch_551';
      release channel;

      I thought that this can solve the problem but, today I found the same error message.

      Please, somebody nows what I can do??

      Thanks in advance!

          RMAN complains about a tape channel:
          RMAN-06207: WARNING: 1 objects could not be deleted for SBT_TAPE channel(s) due ...
          In the next step you allocate a disk channel for the same backup, WHERE are your backups? On disk or tape?

          Unfortunately your hide OS and database version , there was a problem with Enterprise Manager driven backups, where a non-existing tape channel was allocated by mistake.

          If you don't have and don't need tape backups, but 'show all;' shows an allocated one, issue

          Configure CHANNEL device type 'SBT_TAPE' clear;

            Hi Jordi,
            Can you copy the the delete command script and change the delete command to a crosscheck command:
            eg. <delete obsolete;> -> <crosscheck backup;>
            Please run the new script and post the output.
            Regards,
            Tycho

              Hi Werner,

              You're right!!, I was allocating a disk channel but I'm doing my backups in tapes. I copy the sentences directly without correct it...

              I can't launch a new backup today, because is a production database and the performance is poor when the backups are running. Tomorrow I'll see the final result.

              Thank you very much!! DANKE SCHÖN!
