    Internet Connection with PeopleSoft Sign-in

    586608
      Hello Good People,

I always have this thing and I don't know if I'm the only one facing it or it's a general thing.

Anytime I install PeopleSoft environment and configure all the servers (Apps, web and Process Scheduler)
and tried to logon the PeopleSoft Sign-in page, I get this error on the page:

Though, the servers booted up correctly but just that it's connected to the internet
CHECK APPSERVER LOGS. THE SITE BOOTED
      WITH INTERNAL DEFAULT SETTINGS, BECAUSE
      OF: bea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session
But the moment I unplug the internet cord and reboot the servers (Apps, web and Process Scheduler), everything
will be fine and I dont get that error.

Can someone please explain this to me?

      Thanks and regards,

      Texas!

To avoid misunderstanding like in your previous thread, please, provide your Peopletools version, OS, and the webserver you are using.
You could also provide the logfile from appserv and webserver.

          Nicolas.

Note: Dont forget that the problem occurs when the internet cable is plugged.

Did you set your hosts file with IP address and server name ?
              hosts file in C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc

                Okay.

Here's the content of the host file:
                   127.0.0.1              localhost
                   192.168.16.24       jbg-loc-01
                Texas!

Because, your browser is looking for a server named helium over internet, not on your local network, if 192.168.16.24 is your local IP address, you should add local reference in your hosts file :
                  192.168.16.24 helium
                  or
                  192.168.16.24 jbg-loc-01 helium

                  Nicolas.

                    It's working perfectly now.
