Enterprise Linux Network Support : not supported Oracle management pack....

Hi All,

My question is related to Oracle Enterprise Linux. Our company planining to purchase OEL instead of RHEL ofcourse of having huge difference in their cost.

In OEL we are looking for "Enterprise Linux Network Support" this option to purchase. but there is only one thing which we are not able to understand their supported features.

for this Enterprise Linux Network Support feature: there are not included Oracle Managemnt pack for Linux; does this mean by Oracle Enterprise Manager not supported?

I having big confusion in this . can any one suggest me?

you should probably post linux questions in the Linux forum. The answer in this case however is that the Enterprise Management packs of EM are a separate product to the operating system support that you purchase theough EL Network Support.

Sorry for the posting again but I didnt find particular tab in Linux for this query.

Hope you know this OEL and OEM base on that I have one more query if you are having answer please tell me.

can I Oracle Enterprise Manager availabe on purchasing EL Network support flavor from OEL? Becaue on OEL side their words are below:

" Oracle Management Pack for Linux included at no additional charge -" This feature is not supported in EL network support.

What I understood is OEM for Oracle is available but related to Linux functionality was not appear in this OEM. is it rite?
