FDM sends the UserName/Password to the "Authentication Providers" you have setup in the FDM LoadBalance Manager. Is SharedServices listed as one of them? What version of FDM is this?
I checked the Loadbalance and it is only referencing MSAD as an Authentication Provider.
We are using FDM 9.3.1.
We will add Shared Service as a provider. Do we need to restart the service after the change or FDM will pick it up automatically ?
We don't see Shared Services listed.
Can we use LDAP instead to provision the native shared Service users ?
To use the native you need to direct FDM to the LDAP adapter on your shared service server, create another Authentication provider. Place this as you first authentication provider, if you have a network issue you can still access FDM via you native accounts.
Server: your HSS Server
Port: 58089 timeout: 60
Directory info tree: dc=css,dc=hyperion,dc=com
And the details below is a valid user in your native directory
And the password
You may need to allow HSS to allow binding via LDAP V2. To enable this backup your current slapd.conf file and add the line allow bind_v2 the lbefore BDB database definitions
Hope this helps
