    Controlling access to modify items...

      We have a situation in which we want to control who has access to be able to update and create items. This is across several departments. Because we have centralized finance we cannot control by assigning organizations to each department. We want it so that the IT departments can only update and create items in that are IT items and not medical equipment items. Likewise other departments should be able to only create and update items that are in their area.

      Our idea was to use categories and category sets to differentiate items for each department. How do we get the form for item creation/updates to recognize that only certain users should be allowed to create/update certain items?
