Hi,

I was trying to configure Oracle Enterprise Manager to use the web interface for oracle administration on my home laptop and ran into trouble.

The url I am using is:

https://ankur.gateway.2wire.net:1158/em/

I am logging as sys with sysdba privilege. I see:
A down red arrow

Database Instance: ankur

Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database instance. The state of the components are listed below.
Page Refreshed          Jul 4, 2009 3:08:18 AM PDT

On the login screen I see a down red arrow for the database instance that says:

Host
ankur.gateway.2wire.net
Port
1521
SID
ankur
Oracle Home
C:\app\AnkurAgarwal\product\11.1.0\db_1

and there is another down red arrow on the left that says :

Agent Connection to Instance

Status
Failed
Details          ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach)

For listener there is a green up arrow:

Status
Up
Host
ankur.gateway.2wire.net
Port
1521
Name
LISTENER
Oracle Home
C:\app\AnkurAgarwal\product\11.1.0\db_1
Location
C:\app\AnkurAgarwal\product\11.1.0\db_1\network\admin
Details

I do not understand whats going on. Can someone please help ? Really appreciate it.

The services are all running in the Administration > services . I am using Win XP.

dbconsole, job scheduler, TNSlistener, Oracle ServiceAnkur are all running in windows services.

Thanks,
Ankur
