MRP Scheduling and how it relates to Lead Times
Jul 15, 2009 10:41 AM
Does Oracle consider all Lead Time values when running MRP?
E.g. Pre-processing = 5 days (work days = 7 calendar), Processing = 50 days (calendar days), Post Processing = 20 days (work days = 28 calendar days)
Will MRP consider all 3 variables when running MRP? E.g. will it look at the forecast requirement and count back a total of 85 days to come up with the date to release a PO?
I have the same question

in response to
MRP considers all lead times.
But keep in mind that if you are short of lead time, an unconstrained plan will create a po / req without giving adequate lead time to the supplier.
Hope this answers your question
