    Material Pricing Validity Date Ranges

    707769
      Hi,

Is it possible to set a date range in which a material has one price and another price for a different date range? I want the system to automatically change the price on the PO. I imagine that if this is possible, the date range can represent either the "PO Creation Date" or the stock "Need by" date, depending on how I set it up.

      E.g. 1

      Item 12345, July 1, 2009 - Nov 20, 2009 PO Price = 10.00
      Item 12345, Dec 1, 2009 - Dec 31, 2009 PO Price = 12.00

And to throw in an extra twist, is it possible to have PO's for the same material have different prices for a preset date range for different vendors?

      E.g. 2

      Vendor ABC, Item 12345, July 1, 2009 - Nov 20, 2009 PO Price = 10.00
      Vendor ABC, Item 12345, Dec 1, 2009 - Dec 31, 2009 PO Price = 12.00
      Vendor XYZ, Item 12345, July 1, 2009 - Nov 20, 2009 PO Price = 9.00
      Vendor XYZ, Item 12345, Dec 1, 2009 - Dec 31, 2009 PO Price = 11.00

      Thanks,
      BG

You can achieve most of your goal by using ASL functionality.
You can setup quotes or blankets from different supplier for different items. These quotes/Blankets can have different effectivity dates.
So when you convert a req into a PO, the appropriate prices will kick in based on the item, supplier and the creation date.

The part that you can't do is to have the price based on need by date.

          Hope this answers your question
