Hello,1 person found this helpful
With Web versions, TEXT_IO will execute on the application server. If you want to deal with the user machine, you have yo install and use the Webutil library that contains a CLIENT_TEXT_IO equivalent package.
Where do I get the Webutil library that contains a CLIENT_TEXT_IO equivalent package?
How do I make it work? can you provide a sample code?
Thanks in advance.
WebUtil comes preinstalled with Forms 10g R2, but you will need to perform some configuration changes to enable webutil. Check out the Oracle Forms Webuitil - Production Release and follow the configuration steps in the Webutil Doc. It shouldn't take more than about 15-30 minutes to configure. Hint: Don't take any shortcuts in the the configuation steps. If you follow the steps exactly everything should work just fine.1 person found this helpful
