This may be because the server delivering the real content is down. Does your ordinary page loads work ok?
The upstream server in question is placed behind a reverse proxy server, which usually triggers on parts of the url requested. If the url has changed, it will not work. Consider the following from an apache proxy:
ProxyPass /pls/foodev/ http://192.168.4.23:7779/pls/appdev/
ProxyPassReverse /pls/foodev/ http://192.168.4.23:7779/pls/appdev/
If the url lack the trigger /pls/foodev/, the proxypass will go astray. This is a wild shot, I don't know your setup.
Thanks for the response. Regular queries work. In fact, most queries work - just randomly I will get this error if I select 2 dates to search on, multiple names or if too many fields in my form have been filled out to search on. It is very hit or miss, but is very frustrating to the users. I'm not familiar with proxies - but I will have someone look at your solution.
Did you solve this problem? I'm having the same issue here...
Check the error-logs for the proxy-server and the oracle http server.
