Smart View V11 : Adding Provider Services

710417Sep 3 2009 — edited Sep 3 2009
Hello,

Sorry for that newbie question but :

I'm trying to configure Smart View V11. I discovered that I need a Provider Services (my aim is to access Essbase). I've tried the following procedure (aps_admin.pdf page 11) :

"To add Provider Services:
1 From Enterprise View or a custom view, select the Hyperion Provider Services node.
2 Right-click and select Add Hyperion Provider Services.
3 In Add Hyperion Provider Services, in Provider Name, enter the Provider Services server name, such as
localhost.
4 Click the URL text box. This copies the URL of the Hyperion Provider Server you entered in the previous step.
For example, http://localhost:13080/aps/APS.
5 In Authenticating Essbase Server, select the name of the Essbase server from the dropdown list. You must
have an administrator role in this Essbase server to perform administrative actions.
6 Click OK.
The provider name is displayed under the Provider Services node."

And it doesn't work. (~ This URL is not availabe. Please try another link)

So maybe I should create a Provider service before trying to configure EAS ? But I don't find anything in the EPMS System Configurator (If the answer is here can you give me the name of the corresponding menu ? ) Maybe I've forgot to install something, if yes what and where can I find it ?

Best regards
