Oracle 10g on MS Server 2008 R2

723396Sep 18 2009 — edited Nov 2 2011
Whenever I try to install Oracle 10g (10.2.4) on a Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit I am getting a message that the installer is expecting versions of 5 and then 6 but the actual is 6.1 so the installation fails. I tried the compatability troubleshooter but it didn't work either. Is there a way to fix this? I need to install some GIS software on this Monday morning and I would hate to change it to Server 2008 (instead of the new R2 release) because the newer version works better.
