Oracle service run not by Local System user

    le
      Hi,

      Our configuration is:
Oracle 10.2.0.3 SE RAC (2 nodes)
      Windows
      ASM

Currently Oracle service is run as Local System user.

My boss insists that we need to create a special user and run Oracle service as this user.

Could there be any issues if we change from Local System to different user?

      Thanks,
      Lev

There is no issue, if you change local system to different user.

Running Oracle service as Local System user is normal behaviour. Show the below link to your boss that no need a seperate account in Windows.

          Hope this helps.
