you're sure you use the xpath after the human task is 'executed/completed' to make sure the response variable is created and filled.
if you look in the audit trial you do see the response variable filled with data after the executing of the human task ?
I am getting this error while compilation itself. So I have moved that copy operation to Java embeeding. But still I get this error at runtime(at audit trail). The initiateTaskResponse message is created and filled in the audit trail.

If you collapse the variable in the lisf of all your process variables at the leftside of you jdeveloper, can you browse to the variable you need?
if so it you should also be able to use that field on designtime.
If you delete or recreate a new var and try the assign again, you're able to do the assign ?
Thanks for your Reply,
I can able to browse the variable in JDeveloper at design time. When I try to deploy the process, the server throws error on that assign activity(Selection Failure). So I have changed the assign activity to JavaEmbeeding, but now it throws 'Selection Failure' error at runtime.
I can able to use anyother variables in assign activity.
Thanks in advance,
