Content server search failure following Inbound Refinery Patch IBR10gR3

    716457
Installed and had running the 10gR3 version 10.1.3.3.3 (version 20080807) using MS sqlserver as backend db http://download.oracle.com/otn/content_management/V13682-01.zip

Applied the patches in the following order:
      CS10gR35UpdateBundle-20090707-11 (Version 10.1.3.5.0) http://download.oracle.com/otn/content_management/CS10gR35UpdateBundle-20090707-11.zip
      CS10gR34ContentAccessUpdate-20090505-4 (Version 10.1.3.4.1) http://download.oracle.com/otn/content_management/CS10gR34ContentAccessUpdate-20090505-4.zip
      CS10gR34NativeUpdate-20090708-5 (Version 10.1.3.4.1) http://download.oracle.com/otn/content_management/CS10gR34NativeUpdate-20090708-5.zip
      IBR10gR3UpdateBundle-20090630-26 (Version: 10.1.3) http://download.oracle.com/otn/content_management/IBR10gR3UpdateBundle-20090630-26.zip

Able to log into content server with the admin user, checked that Version 10.1.3.5.0 has been applied
When a search was attempted received the following error
      Content Server Request Failed
Unable to retrieve search results. Unable to retrieve search results. Unable to create result set for query 'SELECT * FROM (SELECT q.*, RowNum rowIndex FROM (SELECT dDocName, dDocTitle, dDocType, dRevisionID, dSecurityGroup, dDocAuthor, dDocAccount, dRevLabel, dFormat, dOriginalName, dExtension, dWebExtension, dInDate, dOutDate, dPublishType, dRendition1, dRendition2, dFileSize AS VaultFileSize, DocMeta.*
      FROM Revisions, DocMeta, Documents
WHERE Revisions.dID=DocMeta.dID And Revisions.dID=Documents.dID And dIsPrimary = 1 AND dReleaseState IN ('Y', 'U', 'I') ORDER BY dInDate Desc) q WHERE ROWNUM < 21) WHERE RowIndex >= 1'. The ORDER BY clause is invalid in views, inline functions, derived tables, subqueries, and common table expressions, unless TOP or FOR XML is also specified.

Undertook a content Server Analyze – no errors

Extracted the SQL statement an applied it directly on the database and received the same error message The ORDER BY clause is invalid in views, inline functions, derived tables, subqueries, and common table expressions, unless TOP or FOR XML is also specified

Is there a missing patch that should be applied between the original 10.3.3.3 release and the Oracle Universal Content Management 10g Patch Update Bundle Version: 10g | Date: 20090708

      Additional info
Under the admin option - providers there are tests for the system database connection, system socket and file store - all tested correctly
Here is the summary of the filestore
      Provider Name:      DefaultFileStore
Provider Description:      Default File Store Provider
      Connection State:      good
      Last Activity Date:      None
      Provider Type:      FileStore
      Provider Class:      intradoc.filestore.BaseFileStore

Also, I have been able to check-in a document since the patch. The repository manager applet does show that the item has been checked in. However, a search for that items supplies the original error.

      Regards

I have been able to resolve the current problem. In the component manager, within the admin server, I have been able to disable the the "SearchSortOptions" component, which has corrected the search and browse. This was an optional compnent that I enabled when I installed the extras package under CS10gR35UpdateBundle Component.

How do I find out the dependent component to the SearchSortOptions. The readme, associated with the CS10gR35UpdateBundle Component only state the following:

          SearchSortOptions     2009_02_25 (build 7) br-10g-10.1.3.5-release     New
Build 1 - SearchSortOptions - SVN70818 - Bug 7322934 - Fixed issue on home page mini search form where hitting enter when inside any of the fields was not doing anything for Internet Explorer.

Can anyone shed some more info on this component "SearchSortOptions".

          Regards

          Rob
