I tried to use compatibility mode (XP with SP3) on firefox.exe but this don't resolve the problem.
Can you help me please?
I had this same problem and use Opera and run perfectly!!!
If you still have issues using Froms on IE 8 then,Replace the jvm.dll in jinitiator directory (C:\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator 188.8.131.52\bin\hotspot\) with this file http://files.getdropbox.com/u/3353/jvm.dll
restart the IE and IE shud not crash now
Thanks GAG for the feedback, that worked for us.
We had the issue with JInitiator 184.108.40.206, internet explorer 8 and firefox 3.6.3.
Which version is that jvm.dll?
You shouldn't use Jinitiator anymore. Replace it with the standard Sun JRE. See, for instance:
I have successfully installed Jinitiator 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168 on Windows 7 and then I have tried many different JVMs (1.5u13 all the way to 1.6u10) and replaced the jvm.dll accordingly.
In all cases, the Forms will load and display BUT the screen does not seem to repaint and show the data that is being typed in or drop down box options, UNLESS you cause the screen to repaint (such as when you move the window). But the form is actually working and so are all the options and buttons. Clicking on buttons will cause the button action to be invoked. It just that the screen appears to be frozen.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
Jinitiator is supported for Windows 2000/XP (see certification matrix on Metalink). Use the SUN JRE.
Please see the links I have uploaded and download it.we are using jinitiator 22.214.171.124 and It works with windows 7.jvm version is 126.96.36.199.
as you know you copy it under ...\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator 188.8.131.52\bin\hotspot
That worked like a breeze.... Excellent... Thanks a lot...
