Any API to get item value in PL/SQL

Let's say in a page I create following items:
P1_LASTNAME (as VARCHAR2), P1_FIRSTNAME (as VARCHAR2), P1_BIRTHDAY (as DATE), P1_WEIGHT (NUMBER), P1_HEIGHT (NUMBER). In a PL/SQL process (after sumbit), I need to get all these values and save them in different places.

Is there any GET_ITEM_VALUE API that I can do something like that ?

DECLARE
varcharValue varchar2(100);
numberValue number;
dateValue date;

varcharValue := GET_ITEM_VALUE('P1_LASTNAME');
numberValue := GET_ITEM_VALUE('P1_WEIGHT');
dateValue := GET_ITEM_VALUE('P1_BIRTHDAY');
