Track individual's "open" behavior to optimize email send times

We're working on a new plugin that organically optimizes send times and days on an individual contact basis. It will also use the results to do parallel multivariate testing over message variations inside a campaign, in order to find the best fit for the target group.

@Gary Aspinall We're in beta now with the plugin; it allows you to test any number of messaging variations against segments and automatically finds and doubles down on which variation works. Would love to understand how you think about send time. Will DM you.

I think when I tried to do something similar it was easy enough to capture the open time on a custom object... but its hard to do the actual delivery portion, e.g. using a compare custom object field step against time. it would be great to have more flexibility with segmenting on dates/times so we could come up with a native eloqua solution for this.

It's a good idea; however doing this analysis on contact level would not be optimal.
It would be more insightful to be able to get these metrict on a group of contacts (eg: all contacts with country=France or or all contacts with a certain timework who work in a Laboratory)...

IMB Marketing Cloud offers this service. When i used that platform, we saw a 30% lift in open rates and click-through engagement.
