Preventing spam bot form submissions

brettgbrettg Posts: 29 Blue Ribbon

We're periodically receiving an enormous amount of bogus form submissions, which occurs in all-day attacks several times a month. Due to the frequency of these submissions being seconds apart, we know they're not going through a landing page, but are submitting using our form handler scripts and a bot. It would be ideal if Eloqua had throttling, but it currently does not. Has anyone else had similar issues that they've been able to implement a solution?

Hey Brett, have you tried adding a honepot to your eloqua forms? Google "add a Honeypot to your Eloqua forms" and you'll see some examples.
