CRM ID

We have Salesforce integrated with various Eloqua instances and we always encounter the same issue:

This is the standard process:

  1. A user creates a campaign in Eloqua
  2. Saves the campaign
  3. The campaign syncs to Salesforce
  4. The CRM campaign ID is retrieved

However this is what actually happens:

  1. A user creates a campaign in Eloqua
  2. Saves the campaign
  3. The campaign syncs to Salesforce
  4. The user continues to work on the campaign
  5. The CRM campaign ID is retrieved
  6. The user continues to work on the campaign
  7. The user saves the campaign but the ID has not updated in the GUI it saves it at blank

The workaround is:

  1. A user creates a campaign in Eloqua
  2. Saves the campaign
  3. User closes the campaign
  4. The campaign syncs to Salesforce
  5. The CRM campaign ID is retrieved
  6. The user opens the campaign
  7. The user continues to work on the campaign
  8. The CRM campaign ID remains in tact

As you can probably understand, the same issue keeps occurring where the user saves over the CRM ID.

This Dream It is to have Eloqua not overwrite the CRM ID with BLANK if it's retrieved it in the background while the campaign is open.
