SFDC Integration App: Campaign Response

The new app should have the majority of the feature that the native integration. One huge one is the ability to send campaign responses to Salesforce for a given campaign member so that our sales team can action on engaged contacts. We had to learn the hard way and when we jumped over to the app, we later realized that none of our campaign responses (campaign member statuses) were getting updated into Salesforce. As a result, we had to revert all our changes and leverage the native integration for campaigns. In addition, the native integration has a hard limit on the number of records it can process in a given day which also limits us tremendously. Either increase that threshold in native or apply this feature to the new app.

I see there is campaign response as apart of the cloud app. However, I am unable to get it to work, it keeps staying in a state of pending. Has anyone figured this out? @Kristine Lubeck-Oracle

I have it working for many customers. There are a couple of things that have to be set to make this work. Just like with the old campaign response you need a program(now in canvas instead of builder) to trigger the association. You need to have the response rules set up and you need to have Step 2 on the response rules configure to use "Use Program and Campaign Canvas for Campaign Associations". Choose the app, the service is the response integration and the instance is the program you created to associate the responses. SFDC change the API calls and the new one is being used now so it is no longer an upsert just a create or update call. So now it will create a new campaign member or update the campaign member if that is the last campaign member you updated and you set up the program to update.

Thank you so much I knew you would know the answer! We had step 2 set to program builder still!

That would be it then! Just make sure your program is not active to be able to choose it, Then activate after you set up the response rules.

Hi @Kristine Lubeck-Oracle, I would love to learn more. Please email me; I couldn't find your email from your profile. We have all that you outlined built and when we went live, it didn't work. Oracle support advised us to move back to native due to this limitation. We were able to association records to a given campaign however, their statuses wasn't getting updated.

Due to the SFDC API update it doesn't update unless you create a call to do that. So you would need a create then an update call or use the Campaign Association App instead. Feel free to email me [email protected]

It's all still stuck in pending even after that change...

DId you put a filter for responded in the last 4 hours? I am guessing there is some configuration that was missed. I would call support to review and if they are unable to get it working email me with the support case.

@Kristine Lubeck-Oracle is there any additional documentation on this needs to be configured? I have got it to fail now but it is saying values are null so want to confirm i have my response set up correctly. The documentation site doesn't give you any details. Not sure if on the partner site on Topliners there are any additional details yet?

I don't think we have documented the SFDC yet but is the same process as Sales Cloud check out page 31 https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/marketingcs_gs/OMCAA/pdf/OracleEloqua_OracleSalesCloudIntegrationApp_UserGuide.pdf

Can you message me directly? I've opened a support ticket and could use some extra guidance as we still don't have a resolution on this working.

I see there is response action section in the SFDC integration app and the campaign association app also does the similar functions.
Any idea on what is the difference between both? When do we use which?
