Add to campaign - Based on picklist processing form not working! I am doing something wrong?

Hi!
The business case is simple: If a person fills in a Form a specific "Cod Programa" field value, he has to enter in a specific multi-step campaign. (EG: If Cod Programa = 210, it should go to campaign ID = 9)
In the documentation I found the best solution: Add to campaign - Based on picklist
I was about to cry of happiness, I created all of the assets: Picklist, Emails, Campaign, Form... but it is just not working and I am about to cry of sadness :( I feel that I am so close....
Maybe the Campaign should not start with the Email Step? Or that part is correct?
I am attaching you guys all the screenshots of the configuration, again I think that I am so close :( If you can help me I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advice!
David

Hi David,
I usually work with this process.
You need to create a "wait step" as your first step in the campaign and find the ID of this step. The best way to get this ID is by opening the console with F12. Use this ID in your picklist. Let me know if you need that I show you how works on my side.

Hi Victor!
Thanks for your reply, I will try to test it as soon as possible (Hope tomorrow). For now, I had some problems locating the Campaign Step Id in Console Module...
Finally I found it, with these steps:
- Open the Console
- CTRL+R // Reload the page
- In "Filter" search for the Campaign Id and locate the section that starts with that ID number...
Is there a faster way to do this, or that's it? I am asking because I then have to teach it to other users, so the simpler the better.
Thanks again, tomorrow hopefully I will try it and let you know

I'm afraid that's the only way to get the ID of the "Wait Step".Anyway, I strongly recommend you giving a name to your wait step in order to identify easily.

Hi Victor. Thanks a lot for your help, it worked!!
The contact went to the first "wait step" like you suggested ?
I have just one final question, do you by chance know if the shortest timer time is "0.1 hours", or can it be shorter? In order to send the email right away instead of be waiting.
Thanks again ?

Happy to help David :)
Unfortunately, 0.1 is the shortest period of time that you can use on Eloqua. But if you want to reduce it, you could use the option: "send submitter an email / use a picklist to select the email / choose a form field..." It shouldn't be a problem to mix both options (add to campaign and send an email). As you can see in the picture below, I usually work in this regard.

Ohh I see :) Thanks a lot, Victor!

When choosing to send an email directly from a form processing step, it will send even if the visitor has an unsubscribe status and their intent is not to receive emails. Something to think about, as it could lead to spam complaints.

Good point, @msoriano. It sounds like in this case, since the prospect completes the form, they likely expect a response and it would be okay to trigger an email.

Totally agree with both of you, but as @User_NVFDK said, if you complete a form to get a whitepaper, for example, you're accepting these emails.
Anyway, when you choose to send an email directly, you can use conditions and one of these conditions could be avoiding people who are suspended from marketing campaigns, among other options.
