AE:Refund of Sales Tax

A customer ordered something for their organization. We charged them tax because the person who placed the order insisted they were taxable. Now someone from their AP dept has sent us an email with a tax exempt form asking for a refund of the sales tax.


How do I do this with a credit card transaction? I started a cash refund but when I zero out the items and the shipping the tax is also zeroed out.


Any help would be appreciated.
