SCS/SCA How to get Invalidate Cache to go faster

When we invalidate cache, it can take hours for it to be in effect on the remote computers. We cannot clear the cache on these computers as we don't own them.

Is there a way to:

1) Clear the Akami CDN?

2) Get the cache cleared on the remote browser faster?
