API - Response Customization

Hello guys! Hope you all are doing great!

We are using the Netsuite API (ex. .../record/v1/customer/...) to create entities and transactions.

After we POST into it the record is created but there is no response at all. Only the 204 code was given.

Is there any way to customize it in order to get the internal_ID that was just created? It will help us with all the automation process that we are working on.
