Error when trying to update default shipping account on ship item

I'm trying to change the default GL account for a shipping item and the process times out and gives the following error. Has anyone else had this issue? I think it's odd that we are unable to change the default account. For years we have been doing journal entries to move transactions out of the account to the correct account when we would like them to go to the correct account in the first place but it won't allow us to change it.
