Trigger beforeSubmit only from UI?

Good morning!

I wanted to ask if its possible to trigger a beforeSubmit function only when this is triggered from the UI (user pressing Save) ?

I'm trying to test a beforeSubmit function but it seems to be triggering twice after I press Save on the record.
