Post Item Cost to Expense Account instead of COGS

Talking with out accountant, It would be good if we could separate our expenses like warranty and samples away from the COGS account.

The GL Impact is on the Item Fulfillment.

I was thinking maybe a workflow that could make a Journal entry to move the value from COGS to the correct expense account?
