Workflow to approve sales order

I am trying to create a workflow that approves sales orders that were entered in the customer center with the following :

  • RECORD TYPE =  Transaction
  • SUB TYPES = Sales ORDER
  • EXECUTE AS ADMIN = CHECKED
  • RELEASE STATUS = RELEASED
  • ON CREATE = CHECKED
  • IN WORKFLOW ACTION  CONDITION = USER ROLE = CUSTOMER CENTER
  • TRIGGER ON = Entry
  • FIELD = APPROVAL STATUS
  • SELECTION = APPROVED


After I entered the SO was Pending Approval. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
