Automatic Location Assignment with multiple warehouses

Is there a solution with ALA where I can a line item can be partially fulfilled from two warehouses? For example if a customer wants Qty 20 of something and I have 15 in one warehouse and 5 in another. I can manipulate the ALA strategy to essentially fulfill from one or the other but not both even if I have no other orders for that item. That would mean the product in the other warehouse would essentially be stranded. Is there a way around this?
