When does NetSuite apply Critical Patch Updates

I understand NetSuite rolls out two releases a year but when does it apply the quarterly Critical Patch Updates to its stack? Are the CPU's updated as soon as they are released (within the day, week or month) or does it wait until the bi-annual release schedule?
