OKTA and NetSuite - External ID field not available in OKTA

Hi

We use OKTA to provision employee records in NetSuite but we cannot find the External ID field in OKTA mappings. Prior to OKTA, we had a REST API integration for provisioning records which also populates the External ID.

Does NetSuite only allow one application to write to the External ID field or can it be updated by another application/integration? Why can't we see External ID in OKTA?
