Create custom address fields and use in a saved search

Customers will have multiple ship to addresses. I created two custom address fields (lists) that will be applied on the address line for each ship to. We need to create a saved search to display invoices and need to pull in those custom fields. I can locate the field and include on the saved search but there is no data. Is there another area that needs to be updated? Any help appreciated!
