Historical legacy records for reporting
Hello!
I need to bring historical legacy records into NetSuite so they are available to report on. Specifically, sales records (what was sold) by customer and item. In another discussion I learned that bringing the invoiced records isn't feasible as there isn't an easy way to close, void, or mark the invoice as paid in full so they don't appear in open a/r reports (we have over 20,000 records so voiding them manually would be very time consuming).
Has anyone had any success in doing this? I thought of maybe bringing the records in as non-posting sales orders, but the existing reports access the invoice records and I'm not sure how to link current month/year invoiced records to prior month/year sales order records (we recently migrated to NetSuite so I'm still learning reports and saved searches).
