Accounting Lists - > Payment Methods - Adding Custom Fields

I need to restrict the Payment Methods shown to Sales Persons to the Cash, Check, Amex, Discover , Visa Master Charge. I created a custom payment methods transactions body field and want to have a check box on the Payment Method List to filter the new list and exclude methods such as Paypal and ACH .

The record browser indicates Payment Method supports Custom Fields https://www.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/srbrowser/Browser2022_1/script/record/paymentmethod.html

I'm at a loss where I can create a custom field for an Accounting List . Is the Record Browser incorrect .? Has anyone added a custom field to an Accounting List , if so how?
