How to resolve error: "There was an issue during the data retrieval process" in AMEX Plug-In?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:31PM in Ask A Guru 4 comments

Hello,

We have worked with AMEX on implementing the GL1025 Gateway. The credentials were entered and "Valid and Saved" under the format profile. We have set the import configuration under the AMEX Profile to Cardholder name and have mapped the cardholder name to employee records. Set the expense type to Corporate Card and the Employee Expense Source Type to American Express.

Yet, we are receiving the following error on the Banking Import history page: "There was an issue during the data retrieval process. Please contact your administrator."

I have implemented this in the past and had similar issues that I have resolved by reinstalling the AMEX plug-in, but this is not resolving the issue this time.

Howdy, Stranger!
