How to show Customer Deposit Unapplied Amount on Saved Search?

When trying to create the custom search for Customer Deposits Applied/Unapplied based on SuiteAnswers 64678 I am getting the ERROR: Invalid Expression on the Unapplied Amount. This is what I put in. What am I missing:

=max({amount})-sum(case when {applyinglinktype}='Deposit Application' then abs({applyingtransaction}) else 0 end
