Does NetSuite have a way to manage lifecycle of Assemblies and Items?

Does NetSuite have a way to manage the lifecycle of assemblies and items?

In other systems I have used, there has been a set of statuses that can be assigned to an item that restricts the actions that can be done to them, for example:

  • In Development: Engineering is in the process of creating the product. Cannot be sold, is excluded from cost rolls, not planned.
  • Released/Active: Normal item/assembly. Can be bought/sold, made, planned, is included in cost rolls.
  • Obsolete: Product is phased out or in the process of being phased out. May be sold, but not made or ordered, not planned.
