Why Is Adjustment Period Not Retained when Journal Entry Status is Pending Approval?

Hi there,

We have created an additional period for adjustment (for adjusting 2022) manually and it looks like when we try to post in this period, the system automatically changes it back to Jan-23.

Do you know what is triggering it to change once we try to hit save?

Dec-22 period is locked, just the adjustment period is open.
