How to add contacts while creating a new Lead/Prospect/Customer?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:33PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

When adding a contact to an existing Lead/Prospect/Customer, clicking the New Contact window presents a pop-out window in which all of the contact's info, including first, middle, and last names can be entered.

When adding a contact to a Lead/Prospect/Customer record as it is being created, the Contact sublist is in-line editable but does not include fields in which to enter the first, middle, and last names. Instead, it has the Contact field.

As a result, contacts created this way are missing name information. Is there any way to change this behavior? Our preference would be to replace the Contact field with the Names field since NS automatically generates the value in the Contact field from what is entered in the Names field.

Howdy, Stranger!
