How to search for files attached to an item in the Files sublist

When editing an item record one can attach Files to the item record.

When using drag and drop we can do the same.

But when I want to build a search on the item record I do not find the Files sublist.

Also when using the '....&xml=T' view of the Item form no mention is made of a Files 'Machine'.

Approaching this issue from the other side I'm stumped not to find a join to entity , item or transaction in the record browser of the 'File' record type https://system.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/srbrowser/Browser2021_1/script/record/file.html
